Belle Plaine, Minn - Everything tastes a bit better after a win, especially if it is your first managerial win for one of the powers in the Carver Central White Division. As you can see in the photo above, Skipper Shane Hofmann enjoys a cold one after he notched his first victory. Helping him reach this plateau was pitcher Dave Kreft (1-0), who pitched seven solid innings, giving up no runs on four hits. He struck out seven and walked four as he also picked up his first win of the season. Mike Schultz came in the final two innings and picked up his first save of the season as he gave up one run on one hit and walked a batter. Schultz got out of some trouble in the top of the ninth. With the tying run at the plate and everyone's spikes back on in the dugout, Schultz struck out the final two Vics to secure the win.

Scott Schaffler and Dan Huber provided most of the Tiger offense. Like Samson, Huber used the power of his hair to go 2 for 4 in the game. Schaffler was also 2 for 4 with a run scored in his Tiger depute
